Art is an engine that propels both artist and viewer to see the world for more than what it is; to get at that which travels beyond the physical and into all that is possible in human experience. The time I spend painting transports me to just such a place. In those treasured moments, I am immersed in the landscapes that surround me. I approach the canvas; and peering beyond its borders, I experience at once an overwhelming sense of inner peace — unburdened by routine and free from customary distractions. Here, I have only to focus on giving visual voice and energy to all I see and feel. Each brush stroke enlivens.
